

Connecting Dorset has been an innovative project, which has brought broadband to rural communities through local councils and some village halls.
The project has provided computer hardware and Internet access to communities where there are still a significant number of digitally excluded people.
The procurement phase is now complete
100% of Dorset Towns have received their Connecting Dorset hardware.
89.6% of Parish Councils have signed up to the project.
100% of Parish Councils in Eastern Area (inc Christchurch) have signed up.
94.4% of Parish Councils in Purbeck Area have signed up (17 out of 18).
90.9% of Parish Councils in Western Area have signed up (20 out of 22).
85.7% of Parish Councils in Northern Area have signed up (36 out of 42).
85.0% of Parish Councils in Central Area have signed up (34 out of 40).
